Why reverse the calculation?
Negotiating only the selling price can still push the final deal above budget once taxes and charges are added. This tool searches backward for a selling price that keeps the estimated OTD total within the target.
Trade equity is shown separately
The suggested selling price is based on the OTD budget. A positive trade or down payment can reduce the cash or financing required, but it should not be used to disguise a higher purchase price.
Use a written OTD request
Ask the dealer to confirm the selling price and final OTD amount in writing, with government charges, dealer fees and products listed separately.
